Yes you can live with Asthma, but living in a house with a poor condition can cause a severe asthma attack. You have to watch out for animal dander, mold, dust mites, cockroaches, and pollen. Make sure all mattresses and pillows have a plastic covering over them. Keep all stuffed animals in enclosed spaces. Vacumn your carpets once per week.

People with asthma may want to avoid living in large cities with lots of pollution. Also, areas that are prone to experiencing large wildfires, like Southern California, may be avoided by people with severe asthma.

When I lived in the mountains of France at 1600 metres for 6 months my asthma disappeared entirely. As soon as I returned to live in Surrey, UK (not a city, on the edge of the countryside) it came back within a week!

So - mountains, at least 1600 meters!

having asthma is not easy but you can always help prevent it. if you have asthma try not to live to close to a city with lots of smokers or smog. of cold weather triggers your asthma then try not to live in cold places.

i moved here from New Jersey with normal alergies and it really helped clear up my lungs because of the low humidity levels here. Some of my friends have asthma and they are on normal medication such as Advair and other inhalers. If you are looking to move to a higher elevation city (Flagstaff, Payson, Sedona etc) and your asthma is well controlled then that shouldn't be a problem either. However one draw back of the valley here is our poor air quality. Many who reside here, including myself, have developed a dormate case of valley fever due to the dust particles and such in the air. Check with your doctor and be sure to include these topics when discussing your move from where ever you are to our great state!
