What is the best team on Pokemon Saphire?

The best team for me would be Blaziken from the beginning then Skamory from the ashy place and a Golem or a Sablye from granite cave then first a Azmurill then go talk to captain Stern choose wich ever prize you want it will be a Pokemon fossil also get a ralts from the beginning (rare but should get first) and a Breloom or a Kecleon either one is good.

You can do this, or, as all good Pokemon trainers do, follow your heart. I followed mine and now no-one I've fought against can beat me. If you have the same set of Pokemon as the next person, you can't beat them properly.

This question does not contribute to WikiAnswers because there is technically no such thing as a "best team". It varies depending on your battle style, who your opponent is, and how much you trust your Pokemon. Other variables are how likely your oponent is going to pull some weird stat things or change some other statistic. However, just to make sure you're prepared for (almost) all of your batles, you should have a team that varies in type. Throw in a few legendaries if possible and desired. Even so, give your pokemon a diverse move set to make your team even more "rounded". You could possibly use a combo to easily one-hit KO your opponent. Examples include Groudon, the legendary pokemon of Saphire, so there's your chance. It's ability Drought makes the weather Sunny in a battle, making Fire type attacks strengthened and Water types weakened. A useful strategy as it takes off one of Groudon's only two type weaknesses, Water and Grass, leaving it not so easy to take down. Mind you, that does make it tough to bring down and certainly catch, so beware. It's moves compliment it's ability, too. Indeed, SolarBeam requires a turn of charging, but did you konw that that turn isn't needed when the weather is Sunny? Oh, I forgot to mention that SolarBeam has a power 120, quite enough to one-hit KO your Water type, especially if you have a Swampert. It is also protected from Grass types by it's move Fire Blast. The only two things about Grass types that irk Groudon are pokemon tied with Water type-meaning that Fire blast will no longer be super effective, and Chorophyll, found in more than a few Gen. 2-3 pokemon such as Bellsprout and it's resultant evolutions. If you have heard of Fire Blast, you will probably know that it has a power of 120 too. If you didn't know that, now you do. Fire Blast has an accuracy of 85%. Not so scary as SolarBeam with 100%, but think about this. Fire Blast's power will be boosted by the Sunny weather and never misses in Sunny weather either. Hence the reason why it is a lengendary pokemon-it's far to strong for most trainers.

Anyway, the best and ideal team for any one trainer is ultimately decided by what that trainer is like him/herself!

Swampert - Level 85 or above with the moves - Earthquake, Take Down, Blizzard, and Hyper Beam.

Kyogre - Level 75 or above with the moves - Water Spout, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, and Sheer Cold (Can come in handy).

Rayquaza - Level 75 or above with the moves - Hyper Beam, Dragon Claw, Extremespeed, and Fly
