Are you kidding.. scotch Whisky is the only way to single malt .. without single malt you are lost. American whiskey is OK with ice a warm day .. Irich is good in the cooffe . Blended is just for the soda or a sheap way to be drunk... A single malt scotch Whisky is for the one who care..
Not just JWBlue but all scotch should be sipped neat. No ice. No water. Room temperature and savored two fingers at a time in a, prefferably clean, whiskey glass. Blends are nice but it becomes difficult to discern all of the wonderful hidden flavors when it gets that complicated. Single malts are preferred by this contributor.
keep it at a constant temperature so there is no expansion and contraction of the liquid and air in the neck. This way you won't lose any evaporation and it will last for years and years(and years). I hope you bought two so you can enjoy on of them though?
Get a group of enthusiast together.. choose a venue... and invite one of the main Scocth whiskey companies to bring one of their reps or Ambassador's to host the tasting for you. That way you'll get a specialist and be able to enjoy it. Plus if there's enough of you, they'll come and do it for free, how dos that sound!
To a large extent it has to do with personal taste. Some snobs will try to tell you there is a "right way" and a "wrong way" to do it. But if you are seeking "satisfaction," then it is really up to your palate. Personally I prefer to sip scotch whiskey in a chilled crystal glass with 2-3 rocks for every two fingers of whiskey. Some purists hate to put ice in their whiskey, and more power to them. But don't worry about what other people think if you are looking for "satisfaction."
Yes, I have just made one using all five colours approx 2 medium sized bags per 35cl bottle scotch whiskey, it's heavily skittley with an aftertaste of the scotch. The above is true, but I think slightly less skittles is much better! I personally find this recipe way too sweet and skittley.
The best way to enjoy Pepsi is to take one gulp at a time. Dont take sips!!
wire wheeling the valves is the best way but scotch bright works good to.
to be yourself and have fun.
Anything other than those apalling wide whiskey 'tumblers'. Ideally, a narrow 'nosing' glass with a thin stem and a glass lid should be used, but small wineglasses make a perfectly good substitute. Never put ice anywhere near a glass of scotch, by the way. It ruins the flavor.
I work in the old Bushmill's Distilery and the best way to drink whiskey is to add some boiling water to the whiskey, some cloves, and sugar to taste. It heats your body on a cold day
There is no 'best' way. Individuals like different things. Do those things you enjoy.
