To keep your horse his healthiest, keep him in a pasture or paddock. He should be on around 1-2 acres per horse, and the grass should not be very rich. If the pasture is small (1 acre or less), has little grass to graze, or is full of rich grasses, give the horse with some grass hay to help balance out the rich food, and monitor your horse carefully. Spread the hay all around the pasture, so the horse still has to walk around to get it, as if he were grazing. Not alfalfa or anything else, just plain grass hay. alfalfa is too rich, and rich grasses are very dangerous for your horse for many reasons.
Depends on the horse and what is going on in his life. Senior food is a good all-round feed with all the nutrition most horses need. Its a good way to put some weight on a too-thin horse or a horse that may have dental problems. Its best to consult your vet if your not sure of the right feeding program for your horse.

If you want to measure a pound of feed for a horse, it is a good idea to use a scale. A scale will be the most accurate way to measure a pound of feed.
The best way to find a feed store near you would be to look in your local yellow pages or phone directory and search for feed stores. If you cannot find any in there then I would suggest calling local stables and tack stores for more information.
the exact same way you feed your horse other food too. you just hold your hand flat.wait for the horse to sniff and let it eat.i just love the feeling when the horse eats the food out of my hand and it tickles.
The horse rider without the right of way should yield to pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles that have the right of way. It's important for the safety of everyone involved to respect the right of way rules.

The proper way depends on several factors, but there are some basics. Always feed by weight rather than volume or the flake and a scoop method. Get an accurate weight reading of your horse and then calculate it's feed based on that. You should feed between 1%-3% of a horses body weight daily. (for a 1,000 pound horse that would be 10-30 pounds of food daily.) Then figure out how heavy it's workload is and if it's a easykeeper or not. A horse in light work or lower should get 100% grass or hay. A horse in moderate or heavier work should probably get some type of pelleted feed.(Follow instructions on the bag.) But never feed less than 50% of the ration as hay/grass. Provide free choice water and salt.
