The simplest way to avoid a hangover is don't drink. The next simplest is don't ever drink to excess.
If consuming alcohol it's a good idea to drink lots of water after you finish drinking. Alcohol dehydrates the body and causes headaches. Also, drinking prickly pear juice, which tastes much like watermelon, a few hours before you start drinking is said by some to help prevent them.
Better quality spirits tend to have fewer impurities, one of the major causes of hangovers.
There are currently 32 alleged hangover remedies being sold in the U.S. Chaser, Rebound, and similar brands are widely advertised and sales are growing rapidly. Most products are made of so-called natural substances and escape regulation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Therefore consumers have no guarantee as to the purity, contents, strength, or quality of these products.
But more important is the fact that these products have not been able to demonstrate that they actually prevent or even reduce hangovers. This is clearly a case of buyer beware.
Another serious problem with these alleged hangover remedies is that they may encourage people to drink more than they should. Excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to health and is often associated with undesirable social outcomes. Think of a hangover as nature's way of telling us that we consumed too much.
Everyone is going to have their own particular "best way" to describe to you. This is mine:
1. When you are going to stop drinking and pass out, go to the bathroom and make yourself throw up. This will get the alcohol in your stomach that you haven't absorbed yet out.
2. If you can, drink a glass of water and take a couple of vitamin C pills. You may substitute a glass of Gatorade or equivalent.
3. Pass out.
4. Upon waking, take two painkillers, preferably ibuprofen or some other non-aspirin headache reliever. Take with more Gatorade or the equivalent.
5. Remain in bed, moan softly, sip Gatorade from time to time, and if you can go back to sleep, do so.
6. At some point, like if you can't sleep, or if you wake up again, try and have a couple of pieces of bread, or other mellow food that won't make you sick. More Gatorade with a couple of more painkillers and vitamin C will help, too.
That and time will get rid of the hangover. And sorry to say, it will mainly be the time, not the remedy. The remedy is only an "assist".
Oh, and so you know, "the hair of the dog that bit you" is not a cure. Drinking more alcohol is the complete opposite of what you should do. And most people find coffee distressing, too, though caffeine can help with some headaches.
There are various methods but a few that many people find work is cold Pizza, coke, gingseng, a hot bath chocolate milk and many other things.
to be bluntly honest a hangover effect is enevidable. It is your brains way of saying that hurt me. The best advice there is if you don't want the hangover don't do the deed. However if you do have a hangover I suggest proper hydration and Excedrine
The best way to avoid and prevent a bad hangover is to limit alcohol consumption. If you have an occasion that alcohol will be consumed in great quantities, the best way to avoid a hangover (which is caused by dehydration) is to consume plenty of water with the alcoholic beverages.
for adults? Hangover all the way!
You don't, as that would be a terrible thing to do.
The best way to relieve a hangover is drink plenty of water. Hangovers are caused by dehydration from the alcohol.
Yes there will be "The Hangover 2" movie that comes out in 2011. It's already announced and written. Production will start soon.
Oh well....Myth or fact....it is said that when you are hungover, the next morning, if you drink a peg left over from the night before (doesn't have to be left over from the night before. You might as well make yourself a fresh one), you can get rid of the hangover. Personally, I've never tried it. But, heard quite a few talk about it. The best way to find out?!....try it yourself, as always!
dont drink
I don't recommend it. Tylenol and similar products contain acetaminophen. This combination is bad for your stomach, can cause ulcers over time and can cause general stomach ache. If you are trying to prevent a hangover headache use RU21 or the hangover pills that are available over-the-counter. It is best to wait at least 8 hours after drinking to take any pain relievers. - Actually, chronic alcoholists should take no more than 2 grams of paracetamol a day. For hangover, it should be okay to take 500 - 1000 milligrams of paracetamol (0.5 - 1.0 grams), in case of an otherwise healthy individual. This information is from a leaflet by the drug information center of Kuopio, Finland, and should therefore be accurate.
no its way over priced and poorly made the game is terrible
There are many ways, the easiest of which is this: don't drink.
The cause of a hangover is that you are dehydrated. Alcohol causes dehydration. The best way to combat this is, if you are going to drink alcohol, to drink a glass of water per alcoholic drink.
