Compared to insecticides, the borax is relatively safe. It does not contain the toxic fumes and residue which many commercial methods posses.

∙ 10y agoThere are multiple ways of getting rid of carpenter ants in a home. One of the most commonly used is getting a pesticide called 'Timbor' and applying it around the house, where there are the most ants. The pesticide will get rid of the ants, however it is harmless to people and pets.
