correct me if im wrong, but from past experiances, this is what i'd do.
the first thing to remember is very important; introduce them on neutral territory. if you take your dog to your partners house, the partners dog will feel threatened and try to defend its own "territory" which could result in a fight, or injuries.
take them somewhere like a park, anywhere calming and not enclosed, because that will also make them feel defensive.
introduce them slowly, let them sniff and greet each other but keep a care full watch on their behaviour. if there is any sign of them not getting on; growling, ears back, fur on end, take them away as calmly as possible. try again after a while. if all goes well, play a game of catch with them and just let them intereact. if all goes well, they should get along and once they are used to each other you can take them to either house.
i think this is a suitable thing to do, i hope i helped and it all works out :)
When the dog you are bringing in is a puppy then they have their life to get used to each other otherwise bring the new dog in but make sure you make a fuss over the dog you already have ... Hope this helps
Make sure your puppy is in a calm environment and and is not aggressive towards other dogs or humans. Training your puppy before meeting he other dog is the best choice.
Used correctly, "already" (with a root of 'all is ready') refers to something accomplished prior to another, or prior to an inquiry about its completion. "I took out the trash already." Another form of expression is one of exasperation, indicating emphasis on the requested action. "Will you get that done, already?" (This is not technically correct English, but reflects colloquial use.)
