WIZEWUN SUGGESTS: Assuming that it is blood or plasma which has dried on the bandage to cause it to adhere to skin and the wound, then irrigate the bandage with boiled water which you allow to cool down to tepid (warm). You can then wrap a sheet of cling film over it for an hour or so and allow the dried plasma to absorb the water while you go on living. When the plasma has softened it will release and the bandage may be removed without disturbing the healing. Good health!

Put clean gloves on. Remove old bandage observing for drainage, swelling, color, and odor. Remove gloves. Put on new gloves and clean incision with peroxide or betadine or whatever Dr said to use. Cover incision with gauze and tape as before. Throw away all used supplies and remove gloves.
Both by placing a cloth donut around the wound and using tape and gaze to hold it in place it is possible to protect the cut, keep it clean and prevent the bandage from sticking to the wound all at once.
