Use simple terms they understand. The "sex talk" should not be a once-in-a-lifetime event. It should start as early as possible by saying "don't let strangers touch you in your underwear area." at around age 3, and hopefully continue on through out their teen years. Your child should feel comfortable talking to you and asking questions about sex. For a 5-6 year old (first grader) something things like STD's and contraceptives are probably a bit too much for them to handle right now. But simple terms like "penis" and "vagina" (try to use the right names at this age, especially when talking about sex) are body parts a 1st grader is probably aware of, even if just by a more sophomoric name.
Remember, keep it simple. You should plan on expanding on these series of "Sex talks" as the child grows older. If you are comfortable talking about sex, they will be too. Don't make it awkward. And don't worry about covering everything at this age. The very basics will do just fine at this point in there life. As the child gets older, you can explain more.
No reason why either or both parents shouldn't teach their children, of either gender, about sex. Someone should do this and either parent is best placed to handle the education in a sensitive manner.
say too young
ok who ever the 7 th grader is just dont do it i think you should wait until u are older
If there is a three year age difference it shouldn't be that bad. A lot of adults are separated by a few years. But if an 8th grader should date a 5th grader keep things appropriate. NO SEX!!! but just hang out and have fun.
sex
Depends where you live and which sex you are. Somewhere around 4'5" to 5'0"
My parents relied on sex ed at secondary school.
They can like you as long as you dont "do it" with eachother because then the 8th grader could be tried for sex offending someone. But you can still like eachother and kiss.
i can teach u how have sex ;p
Most teach that you should wait until you are married to have it. Which is what I believe as a Christian, and my church believes the same way.
Some religions believe sex is a sin and the believers think it is best to stay celibate. A religious believer might agree with being celibate because some religions teach that sex is a sin.
