The best way to spend energy points is on special weapons, crates, or hired mafia members.
I would say DO NOT SPEND RP on ::
- Energy, Stamina Refil
- Getting Hired Members
- Keys
- Download Zynga Toolbar , It will give you free energy/stamina boost every 8 hrs
- Post messages on Mafia Wars group to add you
- Even if you decide to purchase keys wait till you get a good offer (as low as 3 RP)

I don't agree completely . The best way to utilize the RP is to invest in Attack,Stamina,Defence attributes.
Special weapons, crates, or hired mafia members are not worthy at all to be bought with RP. Because all you will get are stuffs that you will anyway get from loot drops.
