Work is how much energy is transferred, measured in Joules. Power is how fast or slow the work is transfered, measured in Joules per second. One joule per second is called one Watt of power. This meams a 60 Watt light bulb converts 60 joules of electrical energy into roughly 15 joules of light and 45 Joules of heat every second its switched on for.

What is the differnce between work and power?

Power is the time rate of change of work, Power = dW/dt.

What is the relationship between work and power in physic?

In physics, power is the rate at which work is done. Work is the amount of energy transferred by a force acting over a distance. The relationship between work and power can be expressed as Power = Work / Time.

What are the relationship between work and power?

power is the rate of work :) rainbows = Happy smiley face :)

Explain how power is related to work.?

Power is the rate at which work is done, or the amount of work done per unit of time. The relationship between power and work can be described by the equation: Power = Work / Time. This means that the more power applied, the faster work can be done.

What is the difference between work an power?

I think force is a better word than power, but work implies that there is something that needs to be done, while power is the energy that is put into work.

What different between power and energy?

Power is the rate of doing work or delivering energy whereas energy is the capacity for doing work.

How does the relationship between work and power impact the efficiency of a system?

The relationship between work and power impacts the efficiency of a system by determining how effectively energy is converted into useful output. When work is done efficiently, power is utilized effectively, leading to a more efficient system overall.

How does work affect power with time constant?

A longer time constant results in slower changes in power due to work. If the time constant is short, power changes more rapidly in response to work. The relationship between work and power is influenced by the time constant in determining how quickly power changes occur.

What is the relationship between work and power?

Work is the measure of energy transfer that occurs when a force is applied over a distance. Power, on the other hand, is the rate at which work is done or energy is transferred. Power is the amount of work done or energy transferred per unit of time. Mathematically, power is equal to work divided by time.

What is the difference between power and work in the context of physics?

In physics, power is the rate at which work is done, while work is the transfer of energy that results in a change in an object's position or motion. Power measures how quickly work is done, while work measures the amount of energy transferred.

What is the difference between power consumption and power dissipation?

A: POWER consumption is total power usage power dissipation is wasted power in the form of heat, IR drop and so on.

The portion of apparent power that doesn t do any work is termed as?

Reactive power is the portion of apparent power that does not do any useful work, but instead oscillates between the source and load causing voltage and current to be out of phase.
