Even though Scooby Snacks are dog treats, they must not be that bad. Other characters have also liked them, such as the band Simple Plan in the episode "Simple Plan and the Invisible Madman" of "What's New Scooby-Doo?" and Mary Jane in "Scooby-Doo", the live-action movie.

Scooby Doo is one of the longest running cartoons on television. Kids watching to today have grandparents who also watched it as kids. Whether a new season is produced comes down to the decision of the production companies and networks. For a show as successful as Scooby Doo, the decision is almost certainly "yes" to another season.
Elliot is not a main character in Scooby-Doo. There is a recurring character in "What's New Scooby-Doo?" named Elliot. He is a kid who appeared in the episodes "Space Ape at the Cape" and "Big Appetite in Little Tokyo". His age was not revealed, but if I had to guess I would say he is around 11 years old.
