Could the water have come from lungs, and could this prove that Jesus was a man and not the son of God

Answer:The blood and water from Jesus' side flowed after he was pierced by a Roman soldier with a spear. Jesus suffered many severe wounds from His scourging and crucifixion and is thought to have been in hypovolemic shock which caused fluid to gather in the sack around the heart and lungs. The gathering of fluid in the sack around the heart is called pericardial effusion and the fluid gathering around the lungs is called pleural effusion. The spear of the Roman soldier probably passed through the heart and a lung of Jesus releasing this build up of fluids.

Which side was Jesus pierced on right side or left?

The bible does not mention the side Jesus was pierced on, but he was surely pierced to find out if he was dead.(John 19:34)More information:The Left...the spear penetrated the pericardium...the blood and water is by appearance only it is in the pericardium where the serum (water) is first separated from the platelets (blood) after a body is dead

Did jesus's blood drip on the burial place of goliath?

Golgotha or the Place of the Skull was a place of execution and not a burial spot. But I would truly think that some of Jesus' blood was spilled on the ground when He was pierced in the side with a spear and blood and water came out (John 19:33-34).

How do you know that Jesus really died?

it says in the bible that they stuck a spear in his side, and a mix of blood and water came out, signaling that he had actually died on the cross.

Where is the spear used on Christ?

If by spear you mean the spear that was used when He was on the cross, then it was pierced through His side to see if He was dead. When someone dies, the blood and water inside their bodies separate, and that is what happened with jesus. The soldiers pierced His side and blood and water flowed out, proving He was dead. But praise God He rose again! :)

What is the significance of the separation of blood and water when Jesus was pierced in the side?

John 19:34 - But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. When someone is stabbed, blood is expected. Water is not. Since John specifies that there was blood AND water, it's the flow of water that was important enough to point out - and not just because it was "odd."Please note that Scripture doesn't mention a "separation" of blood and water; indeed, the significance is in the fact that they flowed out of His body together. This prompts another question: "What is the Scriptural connection between the blood of Jesus and water? What do they have in common?"The answer is really quite straightforward: the New Testament reveals that both water and the blood of Christ are essential to the forgiveness of sins.Acts 22:16 - 'And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.Despite all doctrines to the contrary, the New Testament teaching is that one is not saved unless one is baptized.Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptizedwill be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. The flow of blood and water from the body of Jesus serves as further testimony to this truth.[Quotes from NKJV]

Why is water added to the wine for Anglican Eucharist?

When Jesus was pierced by the Roman soldier, water and blood came from the wound, signifying that He was already dead. However, since the Last Supper says, "This is my blood..." and the body had both water AND blood in it, the Anglicans add water to the wine on the theory of transubstantiation. Water was added to wine in the time of Jesus to thin it out. That tradition continued. The church added theological significance to an every day occurrence. So, we read back into the practice and continue to add wine because the blood and water flowed out of Jesus' side. While the Roman Catholic Church believes in transubstantiation, the Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion do not hold this as official theology. You will find some Anglicans who believe in transubstantiation, but many do not.
