It's about a girl who moves into an apartment building, and the door to the flat next to her's is locked. When she gets it opened she finds out that it leads into and apartment just like her's and there is a mother and a father there that look just like her's (Except they have buttons for eyes). And they want to steal her away from her other parents (which she locks in a snow globe, I think) so she has to figure our how to escape and save her real parents. Its a pretty creepy story!

"Coraline" is a dark fantasy novel by Neil Gaiman about a young girl named Coraline who discovers a parallel world that mirrors her own but is inhabited by supernatural beings known as the "Other Mother" and the "Other Father". As Coraline navigates this eerie world, she must confront challenges and terrors to save herself and her family. The novel explores themes of bravery, independence, and the blurry lines between reality and fantasy.

Coraline is about a little girl named Coraline (Sorry for the obvious) and when she moves she becomes very bored and tired of her dull life(no new friends, parents are deep into work). One night she finds a small door in a room of her house and goes through it and she meets her "other mother" It all seems like a dream come true but as time progresses Coraline wishes to stay in this new and exciting world, the only catch is her "other mother" said she has to sew buttons into her eyes to stay in the "dream world"

******************SPOILER ALERT*************************

She meets 3 ghost children who warn her and so when Coraline sneaks back to her real parents the "other mother" has taken them to "the other world" and so Coraline then has to win her life, her parent's life and the Ghost Children's lives back before time runs out! Eventually she gains the ghost children's life and rescues her parents by tricking the "other mother" and running through the door and locking it with the only key.

**********************************************************

There's so many more details but you have to watch it to completely understand it!
