The Host is such a great love story. If you thought the Twilight saga was good then you'll absolutelylove the Host. It is about Earth being invaded by "aliens" that are called souls. Some of the humans mange to realize what was happening and tried to escape. Melanie Stryder is what she thought was one of the only humans left. She and her brother. Mel comes across another human Jared and they live together for a long time, she falls deeply in love with him. Melanie was captured by a seeker. When a soul takes over a human body, the host, they are able to take complete control over the host. But in Melanie's case that was not true. Melanie was able to keep her thoughts. Over all Melanie and Wanderer, the soul that has invaded her body, go looking for Jared and her brother. It is by far the best book ever! I don't really want to get into much detail about it because I will spoil it, don't be intimidated by the size of the book. I read it in three days. It was such a great read it made me cry four times it was so good, I hardly ever cry.
