In a computer the microprocessor performs logical operations, calculations & remembers some sort of data (instructions and parameters used for calculations & memory addresses to call for data read/write at a memory slot). Also, it interacts with the hardware by sending & receiving signals and analyzes them for further executions.

So, it's rational to equivalent the microprocessor of a computer to a human brain.
