Solar flares and coronal mass ejections.
Solar flares and coronal mass ejections are associated with sunspots, although we're not sure which one is the cause and which the effect. If you are interested in solar phenomena, visit www.spaceweather.com to see daily photos of the Sun.

Consider causes and list effects to gather details.
Solar flares are sudden bursts of energy while coronal mass ejections (CMEs) comprise large quantities of plasma being ejected from the sun into space. Flares and CMEs send huge amounts of energy and charged particles. When these collide with the Earth's atmosphere, they can cause magnetic storms. Whereas these give rise to the beautiful aurora lights, the magnetic fields generated distort radio and cell phone communication.
It affects it by the intense clouds of high energy particles that it often contains which are produced by solar storms. When these clouds, called coronal mass ejections, make their way to the Earth in 3-4 days, they collide with the magnetic field of the Earth and cause it to change its shape.
Coronal Mass Ejections usually cause magnetic storms, usually near the Earth's northern and southern poles. If you've ever heard of the Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights), this is what I'm referring to. Some more severe effects on the earth (in the case that the CME is aimed somewhat directly at earth), are disruptions and failures in our telecommunication networks and power grids. (Satellites are a big concern) This includes the internet, cellphones, television, radar, and satellite reconnaissance. All of this can be harmed or even destroyed by such an event.
the different between cause and effect.... cause=what cause the problem or what cause it to become a problem effect=what effect did it have on it hope that help u(:
