Its a very easy process, walk into the branch from where you have taken the DD, write a letter mentioning subject as "cancellation of DD", give to the clerk, and within 20 mins you will get your money, but cancellation charges are high. my experience: i had taken a DD , and later wanted it cancel after 2 days, so I went into branch and canclled the DD, the amount i paid for a DD of 94 rs is (rs 94 for DD+30rs as exchange or commission charges , total =124,) but after cancellation of the DD i got only RS:34, I lost 90rs. THE DD has was from SBH BANK.
