The cheapest price for a new MacBook Pro 15 is US$1659 at either B&H online or at MacMall. You can find used versions of this computer for lower prices at a number of online retailers such as EBay or Amazon.
A 15" Macbook Pro computer from Apple would be a smart purchase if one enjoys using Apple products. If one just wants the cheapest computer available them Windows system will be much cheaper.
Simply put, the more expensive is the better. Your real question should be "Which mac should I get" and you should supply information such as what you'll be using the mac for, why you want a mac, what your price limitations are, etc. I personally own 3.. A macbook (wifes), macbook pro (mine), and a 24" iMac (family). Without any information on you at all, I would recommend the macbook pro line, probably the cheapest 15 inch available. With the cheapest 15 inch macbook pro (MBP) you'll find excellent performance, nice screen with great graphics, and an amazing 8 hour battery! Go with the 15 inch if you can afford it, the extra screen space makes all the difference in the world when you ask me.
The cost of an Apple Macbook Pro depends on how recent of a model you wish to purchase. The newest, most update Macbook Pro has a starting price of $1199 for a 13 inch, $1799 for a 15 inch, or $2499 for a 17 inch. Additional features may cost extra.
The very best Mac laptop is the 15" Macbook Pro with Retina display. However it is very expensive at $2,599. The 13" Macbook Pro with Retina display at $1,799 is just as good only slightly smaller. The negative of all of these is that they use flash storage which is not near as large as the 13" Macbook Pro without Retina display that has a price of $1,199 and a 500GB hard drive. They also do not have a DVD/CD drive like the base model 13". For this reason IMO the base model 13" Macbook Pro without Retina display is the best Macbook Pro and is also the cheapest. If you are a student, teacher, or government worker you can buy the base model 13" Macbook Pro for $999.
Yes
If you have the 17 inch, it's bigger than the 15 inch. I don't know about you, but I like to have the largest screen possible when playing any game.
no.
Gigabytes (GB) vary with the model of Macbook Pro you decide on. 13-Inch MacBook Pro has 4GB memory and a 500GB hard drive. 13-Inch MacBook Pro with Retina has 8GB memory and ranges from 128GB flash storage to 512GB flash storage. 15-Inch MacBook Pro with Retina has 16GB memory with either 256GB or 512GB flash storage. This information comes from the Apple Store website.
Someone can purchase a Macbook Pro 15 inch on Best Buy's website and it is also available for purchase from Apple. Out of the two stores, Best Buy seems to have the best prices.
The latest 15 inch MacBook Pro will support up to 4GB and the 17 inch version will support up to 8 GB of RAM.
The $1,199 13" Macbook Pro comes with a 500 GB hard drive. The $1,499 13" Macbook Pro come with a 750 GB hard drive. The 15" models come with the same amount.
All USB ports on Apple MacBook Pro's are version 2.0 and are all high-powered. It is strongly recommended to connect your MacBook Pro to the AC power adapter when using one or more of the USB ports for high-powered devices.
