Methyl Isocyanate is a highly toxic organic compound which is used in the manufacture of pesticides and other such things. It is best known as the chemical which was behind the Bhopal Disaster of 1984. This incident killed thousands of people. methyl isocyanate, when mixed with water produces an extremely strong poisonous gas. I guess it isn't good for you! Actually it's an intermediary product in the manufacture of pesticides. If it's in tobacco, it's also in in other cultivated crops, like 'healthy' fruit and vegetables.
