Some open source programmers profess to "code for cotton".
IMHO this means to get paid with a t-shirt (basically to code for free).

A plain t-shirt is usually made from a knit cotton or poly/cotton fabric.
It depends. Some can be: cotton, polyester, elastine, etc. or a mix of both/all.

I've done alot of sports and hike with cotton Tshirt and stuff, bottom line, it doesnt prevent the sweating, it simply absorbs it and retains the moisture.. kinda gross to use on hikes
