I'm guessing it clicks but won't start? If that's the case its the starter drive going out to engage the flywheel but the starter motor is not turning. Probably needs a starter but you should check to make sure there is correct voltage in system (battery & alternator is o/k) and that the wiring is also o/k to the starter & at the battery.
on the right side of the pickup follow the positive cable.
The starter solenoid? Attached to the starter. Round thing, wires, etc.
Probable causes: loose cable or wire; faulty starter relay or solenoid.
Your starter is bad, autozone will check it for free, but you have to take off, then take it to them,2 bolts, one wire and positive battery cable,if you look thru opening by front passenger tire,by oil fiter to the left of it,you should remove tire for better excess to it.
dead battery or bad starter.
Check the leads to the starter and also if the battery has a full charge (should be around 12.4 volts). There may be a short in the wiring, fried starter solenoid or a wiring issue.
If your 1995 Mazda pickup won't start, you might have a dead battery or a starter that is broken or damaged. You might also have bad gas or an empty gas tank.
battery terminal wires not properly hooked up
replace the starter
I use a starter solenoid from a 1991 - 1995 Toyota Pickup on my 1998 FLHT Evo... and a fraction of the cost from Harley.
The starter relay, solenoid or starter itself most likely is bad. If you hear clicking from the starter when you turn the key, then the starter is most likely the cause.
Clean the battery cables.
