Ireland's climate and weather is notoriously unpredictable. So any given month can vary from year to year. March can be quite cold in some years and wet and windy, and even have snow, but that is rare. March can also be quite mild and you can get some nice weather, as the month progresses. It is regarded by many Irish people as being spring, but from a meteorologists point of view, it is winter up to the 20th of March and spring after that.
