Crazy and cold!

-In the US, the Great Plains territory (North American savannah) can be deadly in winter with horrific successive (one after another) snowstorms causing many animals to perish, such as the American bison, elk, deer, antelope, wolves, geese and ducks that did not fly south in time, or other small mammals. Fortunately, bears (and others) hibernate, and beavers seem to thrive in the colder weather.
