Most of the time during the winter it is very cold because of the Mountains but during the summer it is not as cold as it would be in the Piedmont or in the Costal Plain region

Mild for the most part. Winters can be harsh, especially in the mountains. Summer can be very hot from the foothills to the coast. Spring and Fall are gorgeous here.
