To open the wall to the bone and ingredient chambers, you just need to spell "OPEN" using the ancient hieroglyphic letters. There are seven symbols on the "teeth" running left to right. Press the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th symbols*, then press the "nose", and the door will open. You do not need to get the journal page off the roof of the ruins (which is where this code is revealed).
To get the Journal page : Go to the ancient ruins. Push the big block until you can jump onto the vine. Climb until you get to the platform. Jump left from there and you will land atop the ruins, where the Journal Page is located.
(*Counting left to right, the symbols are #3 - triangle down, #4 - box eight, #6 - square backward L, and #7 - maze. Using top and bottom teeth, the selections are second top, second bottom, third bottom, fourth top.)
