Eastern forktail damselfly is the common name of Ischnura verticalis.
Specifically, the male of the species is yellow-green with light blue coloring attractively splashed over the eighth and ninth abdominal segments. The female also may be yellow-green. But she is much more likely to provide a bit more color than expected, with a conspicuous overall orange coloring.
