what is the comparative capital and maintainance cost of a solar
There are many factors involved, such as age, load, type of power, capacity, and environment. For instance, the average cost of just fuel in a typical nuclear power plant is around $40 million (US) for 18 months. The maintenance of a power plant includes parts, labour and ovehead for breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance and capital renewals, it does not include the fuel used to produce the power output of the plant. Maintenance costs for a thermal power plant is about 2 to 3% of replacement cost. So for a 2 billion dollar plant maintenance would be expected to be about 50 million dollars annually.
There are many places where one can find information on plant maintenance. This includes reading books on plant maintenance as well as asking in plant maintenance forums.
Energy is not renewable. The sources to make that energy may be. After the initial cost of plant and equipment some sources are practically free so the only costs are maintenance costs..
These costs include the initial costs in establishing the business (e.g. rent, insurance and stock), capital costs (e.g. equipment, plant and machinery) and operating costs (the cost of operating the business until income is sufficient to cover the costs of the business).when you save the money your future will be bright...

Plant maintenance is periodic activities that are conducted by employees and managers. The main employees to do this are called mechanics.

It depends on the nature and size of the plant.
You could approach this for a particular plant that is operating by going to the operating company. I can give you a link to a paper which tries to examine the situation for new build plants. The general conclusion is that costs of new nuclear are similar to new fossil fuel plants. The costs are made up differently however. For a nuclear plant the capital costs are very high but the fuel costs low, for fossil fuel plants it is the opposite. this means there is a lot of uncertainty in any prediction. See link below
