The compressor antisurge valve opens to bypass flow from discharge to suction. This allows the compressor to flow through bypass and keeps the compressor from surging (reverse flow thru compressor). The discharge pressure does not continue to build due to closed discharge conditions.
the compressor capacity will increase
the discharge service valve is closed.
If the hose is hooked to the compressor discharge it can cause it to blow up. It should be hooked to the liquid line.
The line coming from the Discharge Line, which comes from the Compressor into the 4-Way Valve
Yes, the discharge line from the compressor can be hot.Yes, the discharge line from the compressor can be hot.
Excessive pressure in the compressor, after the first stage (or how ever many stages there are). Excessive pressure could be caused by shut/ blocked discharge valve. There will also be a relief valve fitted to the intercooler, should one of the tubes burst. This would let air into the water side and suddenly increase the pressure in the intercooler, so a relief valve is fitted.
where can i get a pilot valve for gas air compressor
damber valve
Yeah, that's not what it is.. the compressor is supposed to cut out between 115 and 130 psi.. at that point, the purge valve on the air dryer opens to discharge any oil and water accumulated.
A valve spring compressor
This will cause the head pressure to climb very high and if something doesn't explode or cut out on a high pressure safety, you and the equipment will be damaged. Hopefully compressor will be one with internal or external overload. To summarize DONT DO IT WHILE COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING.
