Agar is added in a concentration of 1.5% to solidify liquid media. Although there are different concentrations of agar used to create different conditions such as in Sabouraud's Agar and semisolid agar.
usually 1.5%.

I am looking for the answer to the first part of the question about the typical solid agar medium concentration.
However, according to my lab book, a semisolid agar medium is made up of a 0.4% concentration of agar. Hope this helps.
0.2-0.5%
Both this media share some characeristics.MH it is a vuniversal media used routinlly in bacteriological labs to test antibiotic resistence.
Chlamydia cannot be grown on conventional bacteriological medium. A tissue culture system has been available that allows easier laboratory culture of the Chlamydia species. However, with the exception of the LGV serovars, most C. trachomatis strains do not readily infect tissue culture cells.Chlamydia cannot be grown on conventional bacteriological medium. 3 methyle adenine can be dissolved in media. just weight the according to concentration you needed (e.g. 10mM). bring your media to 37C and dissoved by shaking. it will take 3-6 min to dissolve.
1.) Autoclaving 2.) Dry heat sterilization 3.)bacteriological filter ** UV rays can be used to sterilize but they kill the organisms on the slide...so this practice is not used often only on select organisms that can survivie UV rays
facilitated diffusion does not require energy, as it travels from a higher concentration gradient to a lower one(passive transport). Pumps do require energy to function(Active transport). This energy needed is ATP.
It grows in Thio - anaerobically.

Talking is discouraged because each time we speak there is droplets of saliva and the mouth houses a lot of normal Floras which will definitely contaminate our Media.
Semisolid media contains a 1.5% concentration of agar, which is used to grow and select isolated colonies. Semisolid media contains agar at a lower concentration (around 0.4%,) which is used for motility studies.

Medium is plural for media, but it is also the material used for the entertainment. If you were making a movie, it would be the film. Also, if making a painting, it would be canvas.
