The conflict in Twilight is the fact that Edward Cullen and Isabella love each other but, Edward is a very strong vampire and Isabella Swan is an extremely fragile human. Also to Edward, Bella's blood is irresistible. Edward is in love with Bella but he is afraid to be around her because he is afraid that he will kill her. Throughout the series they learn that it doesn't matter who or what they are. The more in love they fall the harder their relationship becomes but they stick together because even though it is hard to be around each other...it is harder to be apart.
