how does engine cooling system on berlingo 1.4 work
Pressure on a cooling system raises the boiling point of the liquid and aids in the efficiency of the system.
The radiator cap controls cooling system pressure. The radiator cap controls cooling system pressure.
There is a leak somewhere in the cooling system. Have the cooling system pressure tested for leaks.
High pressure in a car's cooling system might be caused by exhaust gases from normal engine combustion entering the cooling system. The exhaust gases might be entering the coolant due to a head gasket that is leaking, or perhaps even due to a cracked engine block. Note that under normal operation, cooling systems are pressurized due to the heat expansion of the coolant. However, if a fairly new radiator and/or hose has burst, or if the coolant hoses connecting to the radiator are rigid with pressure, this is abnormally high pressure.
The usual cause of cooling system pressure surges is a bad head gasket. The compression from the cylinders gets into the cooling system and raises the pressure. Have a mechanic run a compression test to see if there are any big pressure changes between the cylinders.
Are you loosing water and if so you will need to pressure test the cooling system. Repair any leaks and replace the thermostat. Then check your cooling fans for proper operation.
Pressure test ?? Cooling system? A/C? Fuel Pressure? Compression?
Hyundai got excellent cooling system, you might have a little hole in your radiator that affects cooling circulation pressure? check if you have tight cooling system pressure.COCORICO
There should be 15-17 psi in the cooling system when warmed up under normal operation. Any more than that the radiator cap should release.
Yes, under normal operation. If you are adding coolant to the reservoir often, you have a leak somewhere. Have a trusted mechanic pressure test the cooling system to determine the cause.
Keep the cooling system at a predetermined rate of pressure. Raise the boiling point. Allow excess pressure to escape. Allow the cooling system to withdraw coolant from the reservoir.
