According to http://www.radiochemistry.org/periodictable/elements/36.html Pure Krypton gas presently costs about $30/l (or $113.56 per gallon) Krypton: A gaseous chemical element, Kr, atomic number 36, and atomic weight 83.80. Krypton is one of the noble gases in group 18 of the Periodic Table. Krypton is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas. The principal use for krypton is in filling electric lamps and electronic devices of various types. Krypton-argon mixtures are widely used to fill fluorescent lamps. source: http://www.answers.com/Krypton?cat=technology
Krypton is a noble gas. Helium, Neon, Argon, Xenon and Krypton are all notoriously reluctant to form compounds and exist as monatomic atoms. Free krypton would not have a charge.
(That, by the way is a standard chemistry groaner: "There's no charge--it's free!"...right up there with "I'm positive I lost my electron.") which makes it the chrage for kprtonite
I found a source (chemicool.com) stating that it was $33 per 100g. However, that's not from a place that actually sells the stuff, so who knows if that price is current or even correct.
None of the manufacturers seem to want to actually tell me online; they want me to request a quote or at least call them.
If you're really that interested (and don't trust the $0.33/g value any more than I do), you could call e.g. Airgas and ask. I've added a link to their webpage about it in the related links section; the phone number for them is on that page.
