I was charged TWO euros THIRTY cents at a Post Office in Siena. I am sure I was ripped off - typical! Italy is a rip off country, especially if you are a Brit. But I was so pleased to find a Post Office after looking for one for well over a week I paid it without querying the exhorbitant charge. They saw me coming and it wont happen again.

(sept 2011), A clerk from the post office told me to buy 1.65€ worth of stamps for a single regular size postcard.
