With the use of four appendages called legs and paws, as well as a tail, Pumas' are terrestrial and arboreal animals with aquatic tendencies as transport to other islands or across streams and rivers. Pumas' are apex predators that stalk, run and pounce or jump and climb. They also like to rest laying down in tree branches or on rocky outcrops and hilltops.

Pumas are extremely athletic; they can run up to 50 mph (80 kph) and jump as high as 15 feet (4.6 meters). Pumas' prefer to hunt at night, and known to journey over 50km a night, and considered problematic by many farmers, but they play a very important role in the environment and food chain, resulting as a vital part of pest management.
