I believe it would be 74430, 74430-26, but I am not sure
for the xray to be diagnostic of the ankle, a minimum of 3 views is needed. That is why the cpt code shows a 3 view ankle series as one code. The CPT code for x-rays, 3 views of the ankle, is 73610.
CPT Code 73630 - Radiologic examination, foot; complete, minimum of 3 views
CPT Code 72050 - Radiologic examination, spine, cervical; minimum of 4 views.
Radiological examination, ribs, unilateral; including posteroanterior chest, minimum of 3 views
CPT Code 73110- Radiologic examination, wrist; complete, minimum of 3 views.
CPT Code 73520- Radiologic examination, hips, bilateral, minimum of 2 views of each hip, including anteroposterior view of pelvis.
Cpt 72040 is the code used for a radiologic examination or the cervical spine, with a minimum of 2 or 3 views. A minimum of 4 views would use cpt 72050, and a complete study uses cpt 72052. The complete study includes films taken in oblique (angled) positions and in flexion and/or extension positioning.
