Blood pressure in newborns is not a good indicator of health. Taking blood pressure of a newborn is usually not done unless there is an underlying issue (i.e. cardiac issues). Blood pressure is usually taken using the thigh.
If a newborn has B positive blood, it means his blood has the B antigen and is Rh positive. There are 4 blood types: A, B, AB, and O. There are two Rh types Rh positive, Rh positive and Rh negative. That simply means what type of blood the baby would receive if it needed a transfusion.

Newborns's bodies are alot smaller. It doesn't take much pressure to get around the body.
Transient tachypnea is rapid breathing that usually goes away after a couple of days. It is most commonly found in newborn babies.
Newborns breathe at a much faster rate than adults and even older children. Normal adults take about 12-20 breaths per minute. Most newborns take between 40 and 60 breaths per minute. So if the newborn is breathing faster than adults, that's no cause for concern. But if she is breathing significantly faster than other newborns, then there may be something going on that needs medical attention.
There are five criteria of the Apgar score. These are the complexion, pulse rate, reflex irritability, muscle tone, and breathing. The score for each of these goes from zero to two, with zero being suboptimal, and two being healthy. The better the score, the healthier the newborn.
