Butch Belgica was convicted with Homicide. He had almost 30 cases filed against him when he went to jail. Crimes ranging from serious physical injuries to murder. He served sentence for 12 years, 7 years in Muntinlupa, 4 years of which in a solitary cell, and 5 years in iwahig penal colony in Palawan. He got into prison at age 16. Became the youngest and most feared gang leader inside prison, a full pledge communist. He gave his life to Christ inside prison. President Marcos gave him pardon in 1976. He became a preacher later on and started his own ministry and became Senior elder of the Lords Vineyard Covenant Community. After getting out of prison, he studied and finished college, took up a Masters degree and earned a PHD in the USA. He became very active in teaching Biblical Principles in Civil Government. Later on he got involved in politics and was elected city Councilor of Manila, appointed Deputy Mayor of the City, became Consultant to many Presidents, appointed Commissioner of the Anti-Organized Crime Commission and Undersecretary of the Dangerous Drugs Board. Today he is active in building institutions that will reach out to juvenile delinquents and lead them out of a life of crime. He is also developing young leaders who will teach and apply Biblical Principles in Civil Government.
