What is the population ratio to determine number of representatives in Washington DC?

The same as every other state. From the calculations of the Cencus the 435 members of congress are divided among the states. The ratio obviously differes from year to year, but the least amount a state can have is ONE. example: America has 10 million ppl (not real) and only 435 members of congress...soo 10,000,000 divided by 435 is... and its split accordingly. the numbers are rough and not exact.. it would be impossible to keep track if it was. :) >muna

What does the number of representatives each state has to depend on?

Senators are independent of representatives. The number of representatives per state depends on the population of that state. However, there are always two senators for each state no matter what the population size. the number of senators and representatives do not depend on each other.
