Olde English Bulldogs look more like American bulldogs than English bulldogs: they are larger, leaner, have long uncurled tails, are mostly unwrinkled and are not or are not to the same degree as brachycephalic (meaning having a short snout) as their English counterparts. English bulldogs in contrast, are short, stout, stocky/heavily built, brachycephalic, wrinkly, and are low energy.
Olde English Bulldogges are a type of Bulldog that are usually bigger and stockier than regular English Bulldogs. The Olde English Bulldogges are closer to the form of their ancestors bred for dog fighting and baiting bulls. English bulldogs are smaller and more clownish, with shorter legs, shorter bodies, and shorter snouts, with a more comedic temperment. Olde English Bulldogges are more of working stock, English Bulldogs are more of show stock. :)
I have a English bulldog myself, and they have it because every dog needs a tail, that is just a part of the way they are. My dog does in fact have a curly tail, but when i see some other English bulldogs, sometimes they are not curly they are just stumps.
The American Bulldog is a bigger dog standing 20-28 inches at the shoulder (compaired to the Boxer breed's standard of just 21-25 inches at the shoulder) and weighing 60-120 lbs (avg. weight of boxer only 50-80 lbs).
French Bulldogs do the majority of their growing in their first year of life. After a year, their growing rate gradually slows, but their bodies do continue to develop. They are officially done growing by the time they reach three years of age.
Bulldogs, as with all bitches can come into their 1st season as early as 6 months old.
