The US Budget is in a state of seemingly perpetual downfall. From 2001-2008, the "Bush Years", the US Debt doubled from roughly $5 trillion to $10 trillion, an average annual deficit of $625 billion. From 2009-2016, President Obama predicts that the US Debt will increase by roughly $7 trillion, an average annual deficit of $840 billion. One might conclude that the nation's leaders need to seriously address a tax code which consistently fails to meet the nation's needs as determined by its elected representatives.
