Technically, White Tigers are not separate species, nor are they a subspecies, from Panthera Tigris (regular orange tigers). They just have a genetic mutation. According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, P. Tigris was put on the Endangered Species list on June 2, 1970.

How have sibrian tigers become endangered?

Siberian tigers, more properly called the Amur Tiger or (Panthera tigris altaica), primarily became endangered due to human exploitation and habitat destruction. The Amur Tiger is often poached due to it's gorgeous coat. In Chinese traditional culture, ground up tiger bones and other parts were considered to have medicinal value - primarily surrounding male (human) vigor/stamina.To date, both poaching and habitat destruction continue to plague this species and the remaining number of wild Amur tigers is dangerously low. While they have increased in number due to Herculean efforts (and the population size is considered stable) they are still considered endangered by the ICUN.Read more: How_did_sibierian_tigers_get_endangered
