i know you can use windows media player to burn music to blank cds so i think it can also burn video files to dvds. if it cant then you can watch the video files on windows media player.
Avi is used by Windows Media Player by default, and to open that file just double click it. If it will not open then right click on the file and go to Open With > Windows Media Player.
I'm still trying to figure out what the question is here. If you click an online video and it opens up in Windows Media Player, that simply means that Media Player is the Default program.
