The actual definition is "differently yoked". Reading AROUND the passage will give us the sense of the meaning. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)
Like so many, this illustration is based on agricultural life.
If two animals of different size and strength become yoked together, both will suffer. Similarly, a 'believer' and an 'unbeliever', who are 'yoked together' by marriage, or close ties, will undoubtedly face friction and difficulties....their priorities in life will not match, and pain and discomfort will likely result. (1 Corinthians 15:33)
Thde Bible says that you are noty to be unequally yoked.
14Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
No. Evolution had not been developed as a concept back then. It does say not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
The word "yoked" is in the King James Version of the Bible 1 time. It is in 1 verse, 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
YES, They are all people.
No. A true Christian will not become unequally yoked to an unbeliever. The Bible repeatedly warns against such practises.

It is generally not advised because of the strain differences of religion can have in a relationship, but it is not forbidden.Answer It is forbidden, according to the Bible. 2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV:Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers.
II Corinthians 6:14, " Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness." Being unequally yoked with anyone, not only a mate for life, is not good. You will only have problems that most of the time cannot be resolved. This includes marriage, business partnerships and the such. As the Scripture tells us there is no fellowship and no communion. I personally have seen the bad results of this many times. When you marry, if you are a Christian be sure he/she is a Christian. Also take heed that some Christians have problems with other Christian of different denominations.
Hi. The answer to the question is there is NO bible verse that say's that. There is a verse that say's we are not to be unequally yoked: Do Not Be Yoked With Unbelievers 14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? The meaning is that Christian's should not be married to a non Christian. No where does it say that we shouldn't be with others that don't share the love for our Savior because our lives are lived differently.God made all races and the statment above is wrong.Pastor Linda Conners
They can't really. The Bible says a Christian should not be unequally yoked/joined with a nonbeliever. My understanding is that means any kind of relationship business or personal etc However a Christian should maintain contact with the unsaved in an effort to win them to Christ.
The Jews consider it a serious religious offense. II Corinthians 6:14 "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?"
