The first stage of fetal development is the embryo stage. This is basically just the point where there are two layers of cells. From this point, the cells begin to divide, and several cells are created and begin forming the organs of the infant.
Late in the third trimester
Organogenesis occurs within the first trimester of fetal development.
There major phases of antenatal development are commonly divided into three trimesters. The first trimester involves embryogenesis. The second and third trimester involves fetal development. The pregnancy is considered viable from the third trimester onwards.
There are three trimester in pregnancy. Each trimester is three months. Each trimester indicates specific fetal development. Based on trimester physician can compare the growth of the fetus and see if there any abnormalities and also decide which medication to use.
The fetal infection rate is above 60% if maternal infection occurs during the third trimester, but the most severe fetal complications occur with first-trimester infection.
During the 4th month, the first month of the second trimester, the greatest amount of fetal growth occurs.
The pig has it's most drastic growth in the third trimester. From day 56 to day 100 it grows from 40mm to 220mm. The third trimester begins at 76 days. From Day 100 to day 114 the pig grows another 80mm. This is the time it is born. Human growth stays at an almost constant rate throughout development. In the third trimester the baby begins at about 250mm. The child then grows at a constant rate. At 252 days the child is 340mm. This is around the time of birth.
Fetal and Fatal are both adjectives but are totally different! Fetal is descriptive of the fetus ( also written as Foetus) of an organism, which is the embryo of an animal; For example, "Fetal development in humans occurs in many stages". Fatal on the other hand is descriptive of a situation or a negative event; for example, " A fatal accident occurred down the road and several people were injured"
The site of fetal development is the uterus. It refers to an organ that is found in the lower body of a woman or a female mammal.
