The best measurement of Nereid's diameter comes from images taken by Voyager 2 in its August 1989 flyby of Neptune: 170 kilometers, plus or minus 25 (106 +/- 16 miles). The rather poor precision stems from Nereid being distant from Voyager's trajectory at the time of the flyby, so in the images Nereid is only a few pixels across. Dr. Thomas R. Spilker, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Nereid - moon - was created on 1949-05-01.
Its moon, Nereid.
It is roughly 170 km in radius.
Gerard P. Kuiper 1949
Neptune's smallest moon is Neso, which is irregularly shaped and has a diameter of about 60 kilometers. It orbits Neptune in a highly elliptical orbit, taking about 26 years to complete one revolution around the planet.
Gerard P. Kuiper 1949
2½ Moon Diameter = Earth's Diameter- 1 Moon Diameter. Earth's Diameter = 7/2 Moon
Neptune's moons are Galatea, Despina, Thalassa, Naiad, Larissa, Proteus, Triton, and Nereid. Only Triton and Nereid are large enough to be seen by Earth-based telescopes.
The diameter of the Moon is 2159 miles or 3474 kilometers.
The diameter of the moon at the equator is 3476.28 kilometers. Measured from pole to pole, the diameter is 3471.94 kilometers.
Actually it was found by voyager 2, it's the same that discover Neptune
The diameter of the Moon is 0.273 times the diameter of the Earth. The diameter of the Sun is 109 times the diameter of the Earth. So:109/0.273=399.27The diameter of the Moon is almost 400 times smaller than the diameter of the Sun.Pwnt, idk u tell me?
