AMD and Intel are two different brands of microprocessors. Consumers have different needs; some require a processor that works at lightening fast speed whereas others need something that will have a longer life and not need as much maintenance. Intel has gained in popularity with their lower end processors allowing manufacturers to have a lower selling price on computers and laptops.
Amd is just awesome then intel.
Hello, I work for Clear Computers in Norcross, Ga to us there about the same we run AMD and Intel in our computers and have no problems with AMD or Intel.
Obviously different companies, but besides that AMD processors mu go in motherboard that use an AMD socket and Intel processors must go into an Intel based socket. Intel processors seem to be a bit more expensive but Intel is on top with the newest technology. Many AMD "fans" would argue this.
No. Intel and AMD use very similar instruction sets, that a separate version for each is not necessary.
Intel desktop computers aren't any more expensive than computers with rival processors, such as AMD.
Intel processors and AMD processors use a different architecture and AMD tends to be a little bit behind. Intel is working on 14nm and is currently at 22nm, while AMD just now advanced to 28nm.
Intel and AMD chips are for computers to amke them better, so think of it like a boost to the computer, so it can prosseses things faster
Intel Core Duo Intel Core 2 Duo Intel Core 2 Quad Intel Celeron AMD Athlon XP AMD Phenom X2 And two for laptops: Intel Atom AMD Turion X2
amd is newer than intel so it must be better.
The main two manufacturers are INTEL and AMD. The 4th quoter results of 2008: INTEL - 80.96% AMD - 10.6%
Intel = buissness and work AMD= gaming and raw power
Intel is a good processor, usually quite fast and powerful. AMD also a good processor, difference between them is that an AMD is easier to overclock (make it run faster than it should) AMD's are made to be overclocked. No real advantage or disadvantage just matter of opinion, and what you want to do with it.
