What is the difference between Satan and the anti-christ? First, there is no scripture that names any one person "THE" Antichrist. Antichrist is merely a spiritual attitude AGAINST CHRIST! Against God's laws and everything He stands for. And Satan is the originator of that attitude. The word "antichrist" is used a total of four times in The Bible... and they are all in the letters of 1st and 2nd John: (I John 2:18): "...Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that ANTICHRIST shall come, even now are there MANY ANTICHRISTS; whereby we know that it is the last time." Take a lesson from John, now, and see where antichrist came from. John's writing to the church of God, here: "...They went out FROM US, but they were not OF US. for had they been OF US, they would no doubt have continued WITH US: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all OF US." (verse 19) These were FALSE CHRISTIANS!!! They posed as Christians for a time before they were found out... and left. (I John 2:22): "...Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is ANTICHRIST, that denieth the Father and the Son." Notice, John didn't say Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The word "trinity" isn't in the Bible. Even Jesus said: "I and My Father are One" (John 10:30) . No trinity. What a great opportunity Jesus missed to teach that doctrine that the Bible doesn't support. (but I digress) (I John 4:3): "...and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST, whereof ye have heard that it shall come; and EVEN NOW already is in the world." (II John 1:7): "...for many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the fleash. This is a deceiver and an ANTICHRIST." That's it. That's all the "antichrists" in the Bible. The Bible speaks of a "man of sin" in the last days... or the "Beast"... which men have attributed to the name "antichrist" and from that created "THE" Antichrist for whom many people in the world are looking. As for the "Beast"... the Bible says this: "...the Beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the DRAGON (Satan) GAVE HIM HIS POWER, AND HIS SEAT, AND GREAT AUTHORITY." (Rev.13:2) Not only that, but - "...all the world wondered after the Beast. And they (the world) WORSHIPPED THE DRAGON WHICH GAVE POWER TO THE BEAST: and they WORSHIPPED THE BEAST..." (verses 3-4). So, "anti-christ" has always been the prevailing attitude of Satan, the Dragon... the "god of this world." Anyone you hear denying Christ is "anti" (against) Christ. Very little of the world knows the Truth of Christ... so virtually the majority of the world is "anti-Christ" because the world WORSHIPS THE DRAGON!

Christ came to save his elect from the world and death and the Antichrist does just the opposite by tainting the truth of the Gospel.
