The cytoplasm is inside the entire cell excluding cell organelles.

It's the site for many chemical reaction such as : initial stages of metabolic breakdown of nutrients and protein synthesis in ribosomes.

The Nucleus is the major organelle in eukaryote cells and its surrounded by the nuclear envelope ( double membrane). It contains the genetic information DNA in the form of chromosomes.

Difference could be in the pH.
