A normal CD can have information recorded onto it once only. A CD Recordable can have information added to it after the original recording has been made
You can write to a CDR once. A CDR-W can be erased and rewritten over and over.
RCD? Could be CDR they mean. CD-R = Recordable CD. Maybe they mean to say CDR which is the recordable CD but said it the alphabets like we say the words, Recordable CD. I would be that I am correct. Good luck.
cdr can be formatted into an audio CD, data CD or video CD... its the format you choose that determines what you can put onto it. cdr can take almost anything. note, if you just drag mp3 files onto your cdr and burn, it does not make it an audio CD, but data.

i have memorex cdr for music but can not record and when it does it will not play but on my computer
